The topic for the January seminar is Depression: A Family Affair. The speaker for this seminar will be Dr. Stephen Swallow.
Depression can be a devastating form of mental illness that wreaks havoc not only in the lives of those who suffer from it, but also in the lives of friends and family members. This seminar will be particularly helpful for anyone who has experienced the unique challenges of dealing with a friend or a loved one who suffers from depression. Drawing on scientific evidence, clinical insight and biblical wisdom, we will consider how family and friends can most helpfully offer care and concern for depressed loved ones while avoiding some common pitfalls.

We had a very busy day today with Sigmund Brouwer holding a Young Writer’s workshop for 27 eager students! We received a lot of positve comments and would like to thank Sigmund for taking the time out of a busy schedule to provide some great training for young minds - hopefully someday the Family Christian Bookstore will carry a book written by someone in the workshop today!

After the workshop, Cindy Morgan dropped by and they both signed books and CDs and chatted with fans.

Sigmund and Cindy will appear on Huntley Street tomorrow (Sept 10th) - please be sure to tune in!
